Good ‘ole Zagat seems to be a popular place to visit the classy, Windows-based IIS error screen: “The page cannot be found” Personally, I enjoy this screen because it often indicates that the server has crashed and not that you’ve actually hit a bad link (404).
Continuing my series of “site down” screenshots, I grabbed this one a few moments ago when attempting to grab QuickPwn for Mac. Love the graphic of “Mount Sharemore!”
Only fair that I add this to my collection of “server down” snaps. Fortunately, the DB server was back up when I hit refresh.
Actually, I’m quite proud of that screen- I designed and coded it into the CMS. The real problem is when you don’t see that screen.

I just caught this fun “service down” screen over at bloglines.com.
Twitter is already buckling under the strain of the pre-WWDC traffic.
I’ve definitely seen it before and after seeing it a few times this week, I wanted to comment that I really like the Twitter “server down” page.
